The Crown Automotive Replacement Starter Motor Drive Assembly is a Bendix type Folo-Thru design that has to be replaced in whole and cannot be serviced. This starter motor design was implemented to overcome premature demeshing of the drive pinion from the flywheel ring gear until a predetermined engine speed is reached.
